Small Black Wall Shelves for an Apartment Bedroom Wall

Ten small filled holes in a plasterboard wall is a 30 minute job to make good and is at the level most tenancies treat as fair wear. Why does black work in a small bedroom when it is meant to be heavy?

Where the wall is narrow and short — above a chest, under a sloped ceiling — the honest answer is 2 pieces rather than 5. The rest of the set can go in a hallway or above a desk in another room, and a set split across two walls is more useful than 5 pieces crammed onto one.

What should go on bedroom shelves rather than living room ones?

Things used at the start and end of a day, and nothing that needs dusting.
