Houseland makes the everyday pieces a home is actually built from.

A home comes together slowly. A shelf that finally fits the awkward corner. Something on the table that makes the room feel finished. The things in a drawer you reach for without thinking, because they simply work.

We started Houseland because those pieces are surprisingly hard to buy well. Most homeware sits at one of two extremes — thin and disposable, made to photograph well and last a season, or priced as though a side table should be a considered investment. We wanted the space in between: things made properly, priced so you can actually furnish a room.

What we make

Our range covers the surfaces, storage, and objects of a home in daily use.

Storage and shelving. Shelves, racks, baskets, and organisers that hold weight and sit straight. Assembled once, not tightened every few months.
Home décor. Pieces that give a room its character — objects for a shelf, a table, a windowsill. Candles, ceramics, textiles, and small accents chosen because they look right in a real home, not only in a styled photograph.
Kitchen and dining. Cookware, boards, serveware, and the small tools that get used constantly and are rarely made well. Solid materials, simple shapes, built for daily use.
Everyday essentials. The practical things scattered through a home that nobody thinks about until they break. We think about them.

How we work

Made by workshops we know. Our pieces are made by a small group of partner workshops, each one specialising in a single craft. We'd rather work with a handful of makers we can call directly than order from a catalogue we've never seen.
We start with the material. Solid wood, real metal, ceramic, natural fibre. We say plainly what a piece is made of, because that's what determines whether it lasts. If a finish is a veneer, we call it a veneer.
Specifications you can check. Dimensions, weights, materials, and finishes are listed on every product page. If it matters for how a piece will fit or work in your home, it belongs on the page — not buried in the reviews.
Support that answers. A real person reads and replies to every message, before and after you buy. If something arrives wrong, we sort it out.
Made to be kept. We'd rather sell you one shelf that lasts than three that don't. It's a slower way to run a shop, and it's the only one we're interested in.

Shipping

We ship worldwide, direct from our workshops to your door. Because pieces travel from where they're made rather than sitting in a warehouse first, delivery takes a little longer than you may be used to — and every order is tracked from the moment it ships. Full timings are on our Shipping page.

Houseland is an online homeware store serving customers across the United States and worldwide. The store is owned and operated by Houseland LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming.

We're a small team. Every order is packed and sent by someone who cares whether it arrives well.
