Do I have to drill into the wall?
No. Two adhesive pads are in the box alongside the two screw-in hooks, so a renter can hang it without a drill. Use the screws where the shelf will carry full spice jars or where the wall is textured, since adhesive holds best on smooth, clean, dry paint or tile.
How much weight does it hold?
Treat it as a light-duty shelf. On the screw hooks it comfortably carries a row of full glass spice jars; on the adhesive pads keep the load light and spread evenly. Do not hang from the front rail or use it as a grab bar.
Which size fits above my stove?
Measure the clear wall width first. Small is 11.4 in, Medium 13.8 in and Large 17.5 in. The shelf is only 3.9 to 4.1 in deep, so it sits close to the wall and stays out of the way of a range hood.
Is the shelf really wood, or is it printed?
The base panel is solid natural wood with visible grain. The frame around and behind it is powder-coated steel wire, in black or white. It is not an all-wood shelf.
How many spice jars fit?
It depends on your jars rather than on the shelf. As a guide, standard 4 oz round spice jars sit roughly six across on Small, eight on Medium and ten on Large, in a single row.
Can I use it outside the kitchen?
Yes. The same shelf works in a bathroom for bottles, in an entryway for keys and post, beside a desk, or in a nursery. The wire back keeps it visually light on a small wall.
Will it rust in a bathroom?
The frame is powder-coated steel, which resists everyday humidity. Wipe splashes off rather than leaving them to sit, and keep it out of direct shower spray.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the frame with a damp cloth and dry it. Wipe the wood base with a barely damp cloth only, then dry immediately. Do not soak the wood, put it in a dishwasher, or use abrasive cleaners on the coating.
Do the spice jars in the photos come with it?
No. The jars, bottles, plants and frames in the photographs are styling only. The box contains the shelf, two screw hooks and two adhesive pads.
Can I hang two of them together?
Yes, and it is how the shelf is often used. Two shelves in different widths hung one above the other give you a two-tier run; leave about 8 in of vertical clearance so tall bottles still fit underneath.
Is it one shelf or a set?
Each order is one shelf, in the single colour and single width you choose. The photographs that show two shelves together are two separate orders hung one above the other, which is a common way to use them.
Does it arrive assembled?
Yes. The steel frame and the wood base arrive as one finished piece, so there is nothing to screw together and no tools needed for the shelf itself. The only step is fixing the two hooks or the two adhesive pads to your wall.
