Item detailsMaterials, dimensions, what is in the box
LED butterfly lights with an ABS outer shell, a 15.7-inch size, and warm illumination add a moving decorative accent to holiday displays, parties, and weddings. This single butterfly combines light and wing movement for a playful touch in home or event decorations, including Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, and seasonal celebrations.
A motor inside the butterfly’s body creates lifelike flapping wings, while the warm light complements the dynamic effect. The motor includes a protective mechanism. The fixture operates on DC 12V at 8W and has a stated IP65 waterproof rating. Its included 39.4-inch power cord is described as heat-resistant and cold-resistant.
Use only the supplied power cord, as this product does not support other cords. The included EU plug is not a standard US plug, so check outlet and power-supply compatibility before use. Dimensions are approximate, and the product’s color may look different under different lighting or on different screens.

What problem does it solve?
This butterfly light solves a decorating hassle, not a kitchen mess: it brings warm light and moving wings together in one accent, so you don’t have to coordinate several separate decorations to create a playful focal point. Use it to refresh a plain party or holiday display when you want movement as well as illumination.
For butterfly xmas decorations, it offers a single plug-powered accent rather than a string of lights to arrange. Plan around the included cord’s reach and EU plug before choosing its spot.
The problem in numbers
Lighting accounted for about 6% of electricity consumption in U.S. homes. (U.S. Energy Information Administration, Residential Energy Consumption Survey, 2020)
U.S. households spent an average of $91 on lighting during the year. (U.S. Energy Information Administration, Residential Energy Consumption Survey, 2020)
LED holiday lights are at least 75% more energy efficient than traditional incandescent lights. (Pacific Gas and Electric Company, 2023)
Lighting contributes to household electricity costs, making energy use worth considering when choosing decorative lights. This butterfly light combines warm LEDs with moving wings, but the general LED efficiency figures do not establish savings for this motorized product.
Why choose this one?
Choose this one for its motor-driven wings: the butterfly physically flaps rather than relying on illumination alone for its effect. Its approximately 15.7-inch size gives you a substantial decorative accent, with warm white LEDs and an ABS outer shell.
The box includes one butterfly and its matching 39.4-inch power cord, so you don’t need to source a separate cord. It runs on DC 12V at 8W. Before buying, check compatibility with the supplied EU plug, and use only the included cord.
What exactly do you get?
Your package contains one warm white butterfly light in the nominal 15.7-inch (40 cm) size, plus one 39.4-inch (100 cm) power cord fitted with an EU plug. The butterfly has an ABS outer shell and a built-in motor for wing movement.
Connect the butterfly to its supplied cord to power the LEDs and flapping mechanism together. This is a single decorative fixture, not a multi-light string or a set of butterflies. Check that the EU plug and power supply are compatible with your intended outlet before use.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the materials, care and everyday use — no fine print.
How big is the LED butterfly light?
These LED butterfly lights measure approximately 40 cm, or 15.7 inches, with slight measurement variations possible. If you are comparing them with butterfly solar lights, check each model’s dimensions rather than assuming the same size.
Do the butterfly’s wings actually move?
Yes, these LED butterfly lights have a motor inside the body that makes the wings flap. When comparing solar powered butterfly lights, check for motor-driven movement if that is the effect you want.
What color light does this butterfly give off?
These LED butterfly lights give off warm light. If you are also considering butterfly solar lights, compare the light color separately from the power source to find the glow you prefer.
What comes in the package?
You receive one butterfly light and one power cord with an EU plug. Unlike solar powered butterfly lights, these LED butterfly lights use the supplied cord rather than solar charging.
Is this butterfly light battery-powered or plug-in?
These LED butterfly lights are plug-in, with a supplied EU-plug cord, DC 12V operation, and an 8W power rating. Choose butterfly solar lights instead if solar charging is essential to your setup.
How long is the power cord, and can I replace it?
The supplied cord is 1 meter, approximately 3.3 feet, and these LED butterfly lights must be used with that cord rather than a replacement. Plan your placement around its reach; solar powered butterfly lights are a different option to compare if you want solar charging instead of this corded setup.
Can I use the butterfly light outdoors?
Yes, these outdoor butterfly lights have an IP65 rating. Unlike butterfly solar lights, this model needs its supplied power cord, so outdoor placement must also account for a suitable, protected electrical connection.
What material is the butterfly light made from?
These LED butterfly lights have an ABS plastic outer shell around the motorized body. When comparing butterfly solar lights, check their housing material separately because the power source does not tell you what the shell is made from.
How should I clean the butterfly light?
Disconnect these LED butterfly lights from power before gently wiping the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid immersion and do not force the moving wings; do not assume cleaning instructions for butterfly solar lights apply to this motorized, corded model.
Is this a single butterfly or a string of butterfly lights?
You receive one 40 cm butterfly, not a connected strand of butterfly string lights. If you are comparing butterfly solar lights, check the piece count as well as the power source so you order the display format you want.
How is this different from a static butterfly decoration?
These LED butterfly lights combine warm illumination with motor-driven wing flapping, rather than staying still like a static ornament. When comparing solar powered butterfly lights, look specifically for moving wings if animation matters to you.
Would this butterfly light make a suitable gift?
Yes, these LED butterfly lights could suit someone who enjoys warm lighting and moving butterfly decorations. Check that the recipient has space for the 40 cm piece and a compatible EU-plug setup; butterfly solar lights may be a better category to explore if they specifically want solar charging.
