Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the materials, care and everyday use — no fine print.

What is it made of?

Natural pine wood with a clear matte lacquer. Every module is 3.5 in (9 cm) deep with a 0.6 in (1.5 cm) board, and the finish is sanded natural pine, lead free. It is solid timber rather than a veneered board, so the edges show real wood.

How much weight can each piece hold?

Up to 5 kg per piece. That covers plants, ceramics, candles, framed photographs and a short run of paperbacks. It is not built for a full row of hardbacks or anything you would call storage, which is what the slim 3.5 in depth is telling you.

How does it hang on the wall?

Every module has a keyhole hanger routed into the back, and the mounting hardware is in the box. Mark the screw positions, fit them to a fixing suited to your wall, then drop each piece on. No brackets are visible once it is up.

How much wall does the six-piece set cover?

The three ledges are 19.7 in (50 cm) each and the hexagons run 13.8 to 9.8 in (35 to 25 cm) wide. Arranged in one run it spans roughly the width of a desk or a single bed, which is the scale it was designed for.

Can I use the hexagons on their own?

Yes. Every module hangs independently on its own keyhole hanger, so a single hexagon works as a small wall shelf in a narrow gap, beside a door or over a light switch where a full run would never fit.

How deep are the shelves?

3.5 in (9 cm), deliberately slim. That is enough to stand a small pot, prop a frame or hold a row of paperbacks without the shelf projecting into a hallway or catching shoulders in a narrow room.

Do the modules have a back panel?

No. They are open on the back, which is what makes them read as light on the wall rather than as boxes stuck to it. It also means anything smaller than the opening can pass straight through, so keep very small objects toward the front.

Will the colour match the photographs exactly?

The finish is warm honey pine. Natural pine varies in grain, knots and tone, and corner seams are visible on the modules. Two sets are never identical because the timber is not, and that variation is normal rather than a fault.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust with a dry cloth and wipe with a barely damp one if needed, then dry it. Do not soak the timber or use solvents on the finish. Nothing needs oiling, waxing or resealing over the life of the shelves.

How is it packed and what if a piece arrives damaged?

In the box are the 6 shelf modules and one mounting hardware set, packed flat with the corners protected. Shipping is free and tracked. If a piece arrives split or chipped, send a photo within 30 days of delivery for a replacement or refund.

What can I arrange with three hexagons and three ledges in a living room?

The set groups into honeycomb wall shelves of your own design: three pine hexagons at 13.8, 11.8 and 9.8 in wide, plus three straight 19.7 in ledges. In one run it spans roughly the width of a desk or a single bed, the scale it suits best; split the hexagons into a second cluster to cover more wall.

What makes this honeycomb hexagon set worth buying?

It is solid pine rather than a veneered board, sanded and finished in a clear matte lacquer, with a keyhole hanger hidden in the back of every module so no bracket shows. The board is a consistent 0.6 in thick across all six pieces, and one hardware set in the box covers the whole run.

What kinds of things can I display on this hexagon set?

Light decor: plants, ceramics, candles, framed photographs and a short run of paperbacks, all within the 5 kg per piece load rating. It is not meant for a full row of hardbacks or real storage, since the boards are only 0.6 in thick and each piece sits just 3.5 in off the wall.

What are the honest pros and cons of this pine honeycomb set?

It is pine wood, not metal. Pros: solid timber rather than a veneered board, a hidden keyhole hanger with no visible bracket, and modules that hang independently so a single hexagon works on its own. Cons: natural pine varies in grain, knots and tone between modules, and the open back means anything smaller than the opening can pass through.

Does this set have a solid back like a box shelf?

No. The modules are open, with no backing panel, which is what lets the hexagons and ledges read as light shapes instead of boxes fixed to the wall. The trade-off is that anything smaller than the opening can pass through, so keep very small objects toward the front.

What does hanging it involve, and will the hardware show?

Each module already has a keyhole hanger routed into the back: mark the screw positions, fix them into a wall fixing suited to your wall type, and drop each piece onto its screws. Once hung, no bracket is visible. One mounting hardware set in the box covers all six modules.

Will hanging this leave large holes when I move out?

Not large ones. Each piece takes a single keyhole hanger, so it is one small screw hole per module rather than a wide bracket footprint. You still need to fix into a suitable wall fixing for your own wall type, so there is a hole either way, and the mounting is not fully damage-free.
