Ceramic Salt Cellar with Spoon with a lid-integrated spoon slot -- for the counter, not the cupboard.

A rounded ceramic salt cellar with spoon included -- one of Houseland's ceramic spice jars built as a ceramic spice jar with bamboo lid, and a spoon slot cut right into the lid itself, so this salt holder with spoon keeps its bamboo spoon upright and off the tray instead of lying loose. This kitchen counter salt box and bamboo lid ceramic jar is sized to sit out for salt, sugar, or whatever gets reached for most, in a speckled oatmeal glaze that reads Japandi, wabi-sabi, or modern farmhouse depending on what is around it. Sold as a single jar or as a condiment jar set with spoons on a matching bamboo tray.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the materials, care and everyday use — no fine print.

Is the jar real ceramic or a plastic composite?

It is ceramic -- a matte, speckled stoneware-style body, not a wheat-straw or plastic composite. The bamboo lid and spoon are real bamboo.

Does the spoon come with every jar, including the 1-piece?

Yes. Every jar, in every bundle size from the 1-piece up to the 3-jar set, ships with its own bamboo spoon that rests in the slot built into the lid, so nothing has to be bought separately.

Does the 1-piece option include the bamboo tray?

No, the bamboo tray is only included with the 2-jar and 3-jar sets. The 1-piece jar is sold on its own and simply stands directly on the counter without a tray.

How much does each jar hold?

About 10.1 fl oz (300 ml) per jar -- enough capacity for a few weeks of everyday salt, sugar, or a spice blend you reach for often while cooking dinner.

Is this airtight enough for coffee or matcha?

It is not sold as airtight. It works well for salt, sugar, chili flakes and similar everyday ingredients, but for matcha or ground coffee, use it for a small, frequently replenished amount rather than long-term storage.

Can I wash the lid in the dishwasher?

No. Hand wash the ceramic body and wipe the bamboo lid and spoon clean -- soaking or dishwashing bamboo will dull and eventually crack the wood over time.

What is the jar's diameter and height?

Each jar measures 4.1 in (10.5 cm) in diameter and 3.7 in (9.3 cm) tall, holding a capacity of about 10.1 fl oz (300 ml) of your chosen ingredient.

Do the 2-piece and 3-piece sets use different size trays?

Yes. The 2-jar tray is 11.4 x 3.9 in (29 x 9.8 cm), and the 3-jar tray is 13.3 x 3.9 in (33.7 x 9.8 cm) to fit the extra jar.

Will the ceramic colour match exactly between jars in a set?

Close, but expect small natural variation in the speckled glaze from jar to jar -- that texture is part of the finish, not a flaw.

Does the lid stay attached when open?

Yes. The bamboo lid is hinged with a metal pin, so it swings open and stays attached to the jar instead of coming off and getting misplaced.

What is included in the 3-piece set?

Three ceramic jars, each with its own hinged bamboo lid and bamboo spoon, plus one matching 33.7 x 9.8 cm (13.3 x 3.9 in) bamboo tray.

Do you ship to the US, and what if a jar arrives damaged?
