Boho Fringe Wall Hanging, Sixteen Designs in Three Shapes
Estimated delivery: 3–10 days
Item details Materials, dimensions, what is in the box
Sixteen options, numbered 1 to 16, and nothing telling you which is which
The picker on this piece offers sixteen choices called "1" through "16". They are not sixteen colors of the same object. They are three different shapes at six different sizes, from a 40 x 40 cm half disc to a swag with 195 cm of cord in it - and the price runs from.99 to.99 across them.
So the first thing on this page is the chart. Every one of the sixteen is measured and weighed below, from our own per-option drawings, so you can pick by size rather than by guessing from a thumbnail.
What they have in common: fine cotton cord hung as a dense fringe wall hanging, mounted on solid wood, with no knotwork and no pattern to read. Color is applied in blocks and diagonals across the fringe - cream, sage green, rust and walnut brown - so the design is the shape of the wood and the way the color cuts across the cord.

What you get
- One hanging per order. Our package contents read "1 x tapestry." Several photographs stage two together; the price buys one.
- One of three shapes, depending on the number you pick: a straight panel on a single batten, an arch or half disc of solid wood with fringe below it, or a U-shaped swag slung between two battens.
- Solid wood, in two tones. Pale ash-colored wood on some numbers, dark walnut on others. The chart below shows which.
- Cotton cord. We declare 100% cotton in two separate fields and names cotton rope and wood in its description.
- No fixings. None included. The heavier numbers need two.
Dimensions - all sixteen, by number
Sizes carry a 2-5 cm tolerance, which we state.
| Straight panels | No. 1: 40 x 80 cm, 354 g · No. 2: 40 x 100 cm, 410 g · Nos. 14, 15 and 16: 40 x 90 cm, 362 g |
|---|---|
| Arches, pale wood | Nos. 3 and 4: 30 x 85 cm, 300 g |
| Arches, dark wood | Nos. 5, 6 and 7: 30 x 85 cm, 328 g |
| Half discs | Nos. 8 and 9: 40 x 40 cm, 317 g - the fringe fills the lower half of the circle diagonally |
| Half discs with a tail | Nos. 10 and 11: 40 x 50 cm, 270 g - a wide disc with a narrow band of fringe dropping below it |
| U swags | Nos. 12 and 13: 40 cm between the two battens, 195 cm of cord in the swag, 752 g. By far the largest and heaviest. |
| Smallest | No. 8 or No. 9 at 40 x 40 cm - the only options that suit a small wall |
| Largest | No. 12 or No. 13. Allow at least 120 cm of height for the swag to hang properly, plus width beyond the 40 cm batten spacing. |
| Tolerance | 2-5 cm |

How to hang it
The straight panels and the arches take one fixing behind the wood, the same as any batten-hung piece. At 300-410 g a single hook is enough; the wood is the rigid part and the piece will hang level on its own.
The half discs (Nos. 8 to 11) are the ones to plan. The wood is a wide, heavy shape with the weight biased above the fringe, so a single small hook at the top can let it tip. Check the back on arrival - if it has one hanging point, add a strip of removable adhesive at the lower edge of the wood to stop it rocking.
The U swags (Nos. 12 and 13) need two fixings, 40 cm apart. This is not optional: the shape is made by two separate battens with the cord slung between them, and the distance between them sets the depth of the curve. Measure and mark both before you drill either. At 752 g they are more than twice the weight of anything else on this piece - use plugs, not pins.
For height: the swags want a lot of clear wall below them, because the curve drops most of the way down the 195 cm of cord. On a standard wall they suit a stairwell, a double-height hallway or the space above a low sideboard.

Picking a number
For a small wall, Nos. 8 and 9. Forty centimeters square, a dark walnut disc with the fringe filling the lower half on a diagonal - 8 runs cream into green, 9 cream into brown. These are the only options that will not dominate a narrow space.
For a standard wall above furniture, the arches - Nos. 3 to 7. All 30 x 85 cm. Nos. 3 and 4 have the pale wood top (green and brown fringe respectively); Nos. 5, 6 and 7 have the dark walnut top in cream, green and rust. They are the most versatile shape here and the easiest to hang as a pair.
For height, the panels - Nos. 1, 2, 14, 15 and 16. No. 2 is the longest at 100 cm and pairs cream with green; No. 1 is 80 cm in cream and rust; Nos. 14, 15 and 16 are all 90 cm in deep green, sage and cream respectively. Single flat colors, so they sit quietly in a busy room.
For a statement, Nos. 12 and 13. The U swag on twin battens, 752 g and 195 cm of cord, in green-and-cream or rust-and-cream. They need two fixings and a lot of wall, and they are the reason this piece goes to.99.

Where this actually earns its place
Above a bed or a sofa, in pairs. Because the shapes are narrow and the colors are a matched family, two different numbers hung side by side read as a set - we stage exactly that, two arches or two panels together, and it is a better answer to a wide wall than one large piece. That is above bed wall decor and above couch wall decor with a way to scale.
Second, the awkward vertical: a stairwell, a hallway, the wall beside a tall window. The 85 to 100 cm options fill height in 30 to 40 cm of width, which almost nothing framed does.
Third, quiet nordic wall decor in a room that already has pattern. There is no motif in any of these - just wood, cord and a diagonal - so as bedroom wall decor it adds texture without adding a second thing to look at.
Honest limits
- The option numbers mean nothing on their own. Sixteen numbers, three shapes, six sizes, four price points. The chart above is the only way to choose properly, and we provide none of it in the picker.
- One piece per order. Several photographs show two hung together. The price buys one.
- The pricing is not consistent with the sizes. No. 1 is 40 x 80 cm and 354 g at .99, while No. 2 is 40 x 100 cm and 410 g at .99 - bigger, heavier, cheaper. If you are choosing between the panels, check the chart before the price.
- The swags are a different order of object. 752 g against 270-410 g for everything else. Two fixings, real wall plugs, and a lot more wall.
- Not macrame, despite the title. No knotwork anywhere in any of the sixteen. It is cut fringe on wood.
Before you buy
What is the difference between the sixteen options?
Shape, size and color - not just color. They divide into straight panels (Nos. 1, 2, 14, 15, 16), arches on pale wood (3, 4), arches on dark wood (5, 6, 7), half discs (8, 9), half discs with a tail (10, 11) and U swags on twin battens (12, 13). Sizes run from 40 x 40 cm up to a 195 cm swag.
Which is the biggest and which is the smallest?
Biggest: Nos. 12 and 13, the U swags - 40 cm between battens, 195 cm of cord, 752 g. Smallest: Nos. 8 and 9, the half discs at 40 x 40 cm and 317 g.
Do I get one or two?
One. Our package contents read "1 x tapestry". Photographs staging two together are showing you how the shapes pair, not what arrives.
How many fixings do I need?
One for the panels and arches. Two for the U swags, set exactly 40 cm apart - the gap between the battens is what makes the curve. The half discs hang from one point but are top-heavy, so check the back and consider a strip of removable adhesive at the lower edge to stop them rocking.
Is it really cotton?
We declare 100% cotton in two separate fields and names cotton rope and wood in the description text. No conflicting claim appears anywhere in its data.
Can I wash it?
We list both hand wash and machine washable. We would not machine wash a hanging that is mounted on solid wood, and we are not going to repeat that claim as guidance - dust it and spot-clean.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the materials, care and everyday use — no fine print.
What do the numbers mean?
Nothing useful. The sixteen options cover three different shapes, so match the studio photograph to the number before you order.
Which numbers are which shape?
Straight panels are 1, 2, 7, 14, 15 and 16. U swags are 12 and 13. Half round wood discs are 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
Which shape should I pick?
Depends on the wall. A straight panel fills a tall narrow space. A U swag is wide and needs two fixings. A half round disc is roughly square and wants the middle of a wall on its own.
What colors are available?
Single colors in forest green, cream, sage, rust and tan; two tone splits pairing cream with rust or with green; and one multi color design in cream, mustard, dusty pink and rose with a gold edge cord.
Is the gold edge metallic?
It is a fine gold cord run along the edge of the swag loops. In the close photograph it reads as a thin bright line rather than a shiny finish. It is the only metallic in this collection.
Are any of them macrame?
No. None of the sixteen is knotted. They are fringe, swags and fringe under wood.
How do I clean them?
Vacuum on low suction along the direction of the cord. On the half round designs, wipe the wood dry. Do not wash any of them.
Where does each shape go?
Panels beside a bed or in a narrow gap. Swags above a bed or a sofa where there is width. Discs centered on a wall on their own, with space around them.
Why is this one listing and not three?
Because we pooled three designs under one product record. We think it should be three and have said so; the owner may split it before this goes live.
Can any of them go in a bathroom?
No. The wood on the half round designs will move in damp air and the cord holds moisture.
Is anything included?
One piece for the option chosen, with its batten or panel. No hooks, fixings or instructions.
What can I put on a large empty wall in my living room?
One wide object or a considered group. From this piece the U swags are the widest, and the single panels are for narrow walls rather than large ones.
What are cheap ways to decorate a rental apartment wall?
Textiles. They cover more wall per pound than framed art, need smaller fixings, and come off the wall in one movement when you leave.
Is boho decor still in style in 2026?
The texture-led version is. What has dated is the heavy knotted macrame and the dreamcatcher end of it. Plain fringe and wood, which is what this piece is, has stayed.
What goes above a sofa instead of a picture?
Something matt with depth. A sofa wall is usually lit from the side, which flatters texture and flattens a print. A wide swag suits the horizontal shape of a sofa better than a tall panel.
What is the best wall decor for a bedroom under 100 dollars?
Textiles, almost always. At that budget a fiber piece gives you size and texture where a framed print gives you a small image behind glass.
What are wall decor ideas for a first apartment?
Pick one wall per room and do it properly. The common mistake is spreading a small budget across every wall, which leaves all of them looking unfinished.
What color wall art goes with a sage green bedroom?
Cream for texture without a second green, or a sage a shade deeper than the wall. Several options here are cream, which is the safer choice against a green wall.
What is soft wall decor that makes a room feel warmer?
Fiber in warm tones. Rust and tan on a rope surface reads warmer than the same color printed flat, because the surface breaks the light up rather than reflecting it evenly.
What is neutral wall art that is not a canvas print?
Fiber, wood or a woven panel. All three give you a neutral color with a surface, which is what a canvas cannot do: a neutral canvas is just a beige rectangle.
What wall art suits a small bedroom without feeling crowded?
One piece, narrow rather than wide, hung a little higher than eye level. The single straight panels on this piece are the ones for a small room; the swags will crowd it.
What are housewarming gift ideas under 100 dollars?
Something for a wall, kept neutral. Bear in mind this particular listing covers three different shapes under sixteen codes, so check the photograph carefully before ordering it as a gift.
What wall decor above a headboard will not fall?
Anything fixed into something solid rather than into plasterboard alone. The half round designs on this piece carry a wood panel, so they are the ones that need a proper fixing rather than a hook.
Are wall tapestries out of style?
Printed dorm tapestries are. Textured woven and fiber pieces are not, and the difference matters: they are different objects that happen to share a word.
What are wall art ideas for renters who cannot paint?
Cover rather than change. A large textile piece alters how a wall reads more than paint would, and it leaves no trace. Renters get better results treating walls as something to hang from than something to change.
What wall decor is light enough for plaster walls?
The straight panels here rather than the half round designs, which carry a solid wood panel. Old plaster crumbles around a nail, so lighter is genuinely better rather than just easier.
What is good boho wall decor for a living room with a beige sofa?
Something with more contrast than beige, or the wall disappears behind the sofa. The green and rust options here register against beige where the cream ones will not.
What can I put above a fireplace that is not a mirror?
Nothing flammable close to a working fire, first. Above a decorative or unused fireplace a wide horizontal piece works; above a lit one, keep fiber well clear regardless of what any listing claims.
What is a gift for someone who just moved into a new apartment?
Something for a bare wall, light enough to hang without tools. Avoid anything that assumes a room size, which is the usual way a well meant wall gift ends up in a cupboard.
How long does wall art take to arrive?
Check the product page for current times. Fiber pieces travel compressed regardless of the timeline, so expect creases and allow a day of hanging before judging the shape.
Does wall art need to match the bedding?
No, and matching exactly usually looks worse than not trying. Share one tone between them and let the rest differ, which reads as a scheme rather than as a set.
What wall art works on a textured rental wall?
Anything that hangs from a single point rather than sitting flat. Fiber is forgiving on texture; a large flat frame shows every irregularity behind it.

One. Our package contents read '1 x tapestry'. Photographs staging two together are showing you how the shapes pair, not what arrives.
