What problem does it solve?
It gives you overhead lighting without adding a lamp to a countertop or table, keeping that surface free for everyday use. These modern hanging light fixtures suspend from the ceiling, so there’s no lamp base competing with the things you need within reach.
Choose from five diameters to suit your space rather than rearranging furniture around a tabletop lamp. For a coordinated look, these contemporary pendant lights combine silk and cloth with metal and acrylic, bringing lighting and a decorative accent together in one fixture.
The problem in numbers
US households spent an average of $91 on lighting in 2020. (U.S. Energy Information Administration, 2020 Residential Energy Consumption Survey results, 2023)
US households used an average of 654 kilowatt-hours of electricity for lighting in 2020. (U.S. Energy Information Administration, 2020 Residential Energy Consumption Survey results, 2023)
Only 47% of US households used LED bulbs for all or most of their indoor lighting in 2020. (U.S. Energy Information Administration, 2020 Residential Energy Consumption Survey results, 2023)
Lighting contributes to everyday household electricity use, making bulb technology worth considering alongside design. This pendant includes LED bulbs, but these national figures do not establish its energy savings, and US shoppers should confirm compatibility with its required electrical supply.
