What problem does it solve?
This toss and catch game set gives kids and parents a shared activity for outdoor play, rather than a solution to kitchen mess or clutter. It offers a concrete answer to “what can we play together?” when you head outside or spend time at the beach.
Choose a paddle catch game for back-and-forth tossing, or pick a launcher style for a pop and catch game. The different styles let you choose how you want to play together.
The problem in numbers
36.3% of US children ages 3–5 spent an hour or less playing outdoors on most weekdays. (National Survey of Children's Health, Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health, 2022)
In a national fall survey, 49% of children ages 3–5 who had not yet entered kindergarten played outdoors less than once a day. (Rutgers University, National Institute for Early Education Research, 2024)
50.4% of US teenagers ages 12–17 reported at least four hours of daily screen time outside schoolwork during July 2021–December 2023. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Health Statistics, 2024)
These findings highlight the value of making room for outdoor, screen-free play in family routines. The paddle and launcher options give children and parents a shared tossing-and-catching activity, without promising a measured change in screen time or physical activity.
Why choose this one?
Choose this toss and catch set for its choice of paddle and launcher designs. The paddle styles pair colorful cloth faces with plastic rims, while adjustable straps let you change the fit around your hand during a sticky catch game.
If you prefer a pop and catch toy, the launcher options feature a basket-shaped catcher and a trigger lever on the handle. Pick blue or pink soft-ball paddle styles, black hard-ball styles, or turquoise launcher options to match your preferred way to play.
What exactly do you get?
Your selected style comes in OPP bag packaging. Paddle options include blue or pink soft-ball styles marked 7.3 in (18.5 cm), and black hard-ball styles marked 6.1 in (15.5 cm) or 7.3 in (18.5 cm). Choose your preferred size option for a paddle catch and toss game.
Launcher choices include turquoise or turquoise-and-pink styles for a pop n catch game. Paddles receive the tossed ball on their fabric faces, while launchers use a basket and trigger lever for back-and-forth play.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the materials, care and everyday use — no fine print.
What age is this game for?
This toss and catch ball set is for children ages 3 and up, with options for a sticky ball catch game or a pop and catch ball game. For paddle play, the sticky catch game uses round fabric-faced catchers with rear hand straps. For launcher play, the pop and catch game uses handheld baskets with trigger levers. Choose the toss and catch game set style you prefer for shared outdoor play.
How do the paddle and launcher styles differ?
This toss and catch ball set offers fabric-faced paddles for a sticky ball catch game and basket-shaped launchers for a pop and catch ball game. The sticky catch game paddles attach to your hands with adjustable straps. The pop and catch game launchers have gray handles and trigger levers instead. Select your toss and catch game set by catching style rather than color alone.
What materials are used?
The materials for this toss and catch ball set are plastic and cloth, with different designs for a sticky ball catch game and a pop and catch ball game. The sticky catch game paddles combine cloth catching faces with plastic rims. The pop and catch game launcher design features a perforated basket, handle and trigger lever. Your choice of toss and catch game set determines which design you receive.
Are the paddle hand straps adjustable?
Yes, the paddle options in this toss and catch ball set have adjustable rear hand straps for a sticky ball catch game. Slide your hand beneath the strap and adjust it before beginning your sticky catch game. The pop and catch ball game options use handled launchers instead, so you hold the handle during a pop and catch game. Choose the paddle-style toss and catch game set if you want the adjustable strap design.
Which paddle colors can I choose?
The paddle options for this toss and catch ball set include blue and pink soft-ball styles and black hard-ball styles for a sticky ball catch game. These sticky catch game paddles have two-color fabric faces. The pop and catch ball game options are separate launcher styles, with turquoise and turquoise-and-pink choices for a pop and catch game. Select the paddle color you want when choosing your toss and catch game set.
What size options are available?
The paddle options in this toss and catch ball set have size labels of 6.1 in (15.5 cm) or 7.3 in (18.5 cm) for a sticky ball catch game. Blue and pink soft-ball styles carry the larger label, while black hard-ball styles offer both labels for your sticky catch game. The pop and catch ball game choices are named by launcher color rather than these paddle size labels. Choose your toss and catch game set by its option name, keeping the paddle choices separate from the pop and catch game styles.
Which launcher colors are available?
This toss and catch ball set offers turquoise and turquoise-and-pink launcher options for a pop and catch ball game. Both pop and catch game styles feature perforated baskets, gray handles and trigger levers. For a sticky ball catch game instead, the paddle choices include blue, pink and black styles. Choose your toss and catch game set from the launcher options or select a paddle option for a sticky catch game.
How do you use the launcher?
For the pop and catch ball game style of this toss and catch ball set, use the trigger lever to launch a ball from the basket toward another player. The receiving player aims their basket to catch it during the pop and catch game. A sticky ball catch game works differently, using fabric-faced paddles rather than launcher baskets. Choose the launcher version of the toss and catch game set for trigger-operated play or the paddle version for a sticky catch game.
Can parents join in?
Yes, this toss and catch ball set is intended for parent-and-child interaction, whether you choose a sticky ball catch game or a pop and catch ball game. Take turns sending and receiving the ball during your sticky catch game with paddles. With the launcher options, use the baskets and trigger levers for a shared pop and catch game. Select the toss and catch game set style that you want to play together.
Is this an outdoor or beach game?
Yes, this toss and catch ball set is intended for outdoor and beach play, with sticky ball catch game and pop and catch ball game options. The sticky catch game styles use hand-strapped paddles to receive the ball. The pop and catch game styles use handled launchers with catching baskets. Choose your toss and catch game set based on which of those two ways you prefer to play outside.
How is it packaged?
This toss and catch ball set comes in OPP bag packaging, with options for a sticky ball catch game or a pop and catch ball game. Select a paddle style if you want a sticky catch game with fabric catching faces and adjustable hand straps. Choose a launcher style if you prefer a pop and catch game with baskets and trigger levers. Your selected toss and catch game set option determines the style you order.
