It is the kind of gap that needs height more than width - too narrow for a landscape print, too tall for a small frame. This is a tree of life wall art piece built for exactly that shape: a 30 cm macrame ring with a tree worked in raised knots across its top half, a sunburst of taut threads filling the bottom half, and five combed leaves hanging below on beaded cords. Total drop, ring to leaf tip, is 110 cm.
The construction is straightforward to read once you know what you are looking at. The ring itself is wrapped cord; the tree's trunk and branches stand proud of the ring face in raised knotwork, which is what separates this from a flat printed tapestry.
