Arched Board Cord Hanging, 30 x 85 cm, 3 Colors
Estimated delivery: 3–10 days
Item details Materials, dimensions, what is in the box
Two of the three colors come on a pale board. The third does not
This is an arched wood board, 30 cm across, with fine cotton cord hanging from it to a total length of 85 cm. No knots, no fringe cut into a pattern - the whole design is a block of color against a block of wood, which is why the details of both matter more than usual.
The option names describe only the cord. What they do not tell you is that Cream & Green and Cream & Brown arrive on a pale ash-toned board, while plain Cream arrives on a dark walnut-toned one. If you are matching the wood to furniture rather than the cord to a wall, that is the decision.
The two-tone options differ in one more way. Their cord is cut in a curve, so the hem follows the arch of the board and the whole piece reads as a rounded oval. The Cream option's hem is cut straight across. Same arch, same size, two different silhouettes.

What you get
- One hanging, in the one color you choose. Photographs showing two pieces are two separate orders staged together.
- An arched wood board, 30 cm wide - pale on the two-tone options, dark on the plain Cream one.
- Fine twisted cotton cord, hung straight and close-packed enough to read as a solid panel of color.
- A curved hem on the two-tone options, a straight hem on Cream.
- Nothing to hang it with. No fitting is described and none is visible in any photograph.
Dimensions, and the one figure we doe publish
There is no size diagram in this page's image gallery at all. The measurements are printed on each color's own photograph instead, and they agree across every option: 30 cm wide, 85 cm long. We also gives a weight there, which almost none of them do.
| Width | 30 cm / 11.81 in across the board and the cord below it |
|---|---|
| Total length | 85 cm / 33.46 in, top of the arch to the hem of the cord |
| Board | About the top fifth, roughly 17 cm. We don't break board and cord out separately. |
| Weight, two-tone options | 300 g |
| Weight, plain Cream | 328 g - the straight hem keeps more cord length, which is the likeliest reason for the difference |
| Wall space needed | About 50 x 105 cm |
| Above a sideboard | A 120-150 cm sideboard takes it centered as a single vertical accent rather than a filler |
| Above a double headboard | About a fifth of the width. Read it as a marker over one side, or hang a pair with a gap between them. |
| Depth | The board sits close to the wall in every room shot. |
| Hem shape | Curved on Cream & Green and Cream & Brown, straight on Cream |

Picking a color
Cream & Green splits the panel down the middle - undyed cream on the left, a deep olive green on the right, on the pale board. The green is space-dyed rather than flat, so it shifts between olive and a grayer sage as the light moves across it. It is the one that does the most on a white wall.
Cream & Brown is the same construction in a warm rust-brown. Against the pale board it reads closer to a single object than the green does, because the two tones sit nearer each other.
Cream is undyed cord on the dark walnut board, with the straight hem. It is the quietest of the three and the only one with nothing to fade - but it is also the only one whose board is dark, so it needs a wall that can carry the contrast.
How to hang it
One fixing at the center of the board. At 30 cm wide and rigid, it does not need two, and the cord below has no structure that could twist.
No hanging fitting is described by us and none is visible in any of its photographs. The boards sit close to the wall, which suggests something small on the back, but that is an inference rather than a fact - check the back on arrival before you drill, and be ready to add a sawtooth hanger.
Use the published weight. 300 to 328 g is light for a piece this size, which means a good adhesive hook rated well above that is a fair option on plaster where you do not want a hole - worth knowing, because most listings of this kind publish no weight at all and leave you guessing.
Comb the cord downward once it is hanging.

Where this actually earns its place
Beside a doorway or in a narrow return. At 30 cm wide it belongs to the tall, thin walls that framed art fits badly, and at 85 cm it has enough length to look intentional there rather than stranded.
Above a console or a sideboard, as the vertical. A long horizontal surface wants something with height above it, and a single arched panel does that job without the visual weight of a framed piece or the fuss of a gallery arrangement.
In a pair, either side of a bed or a window.

Honest limits
- The board color is not in the option name. Cream comes on a dark walnut-toned board; the other two come on a pale one. Nothing in this page says so except the photographs.
- The hem shape changes too. Curved on the two-tone options, straight on Cream - also unmentioned.
- One order is one hanging. Several photographs show two pieces together.
- Cotton and wood, with no percentages or wood species given.
- No hanging fitting is described or shown. Check the back of the board before you drill.
- Dyed cord fades. The green and the brown are dyed; the cream is not. Keep the colored options off a wall that takes hard afternoon sun.
- No care instructions. Comb and dust the cord. Untreated wood and cotton are not things to wash.
Before you buy
How big is it?
30 cm / 11.81 in wide and 85 cm / 33.46 in long overall, with the board taking roughly the top fifth. Allow about 50 x 105 cm of wall.
Is the board the same color on all three options?
No. Cream & Green and Cream & Brown come on a pale ash-toned board; plain Cream comes on a dark walnut-toned one. The option names describe only the cord.
How heavy is it?
300 g on the two-tone options and 328 g on plain Cream, both published by us. That is light enough for a well-rated adhesive hook on plaster.
Is this one piece or a pair?
One. The photographs showing a green and a brown piece together are two separate orders staged side by side.
How does it hang?
From a single fixing at the center of the board. No fitting is described by us and none is visible in its photographs, so check the back on arrival - a sawtooth hanger or two adhesive strips will do it.
What is the cord made of?
Cotton, on a wood board.
Detailed questions and answers
Is the hem the same shape on all three?
No. The two-tone options have the cord cut in a curve that follows the arch; plain Cream is cut straight across.
Can I use an adhesive hook?
At 300 to 328 g, yes, provided the hook is rated well above that. Having a published weight is what makes that a decision rather than a guess.
Is a hanging fitting included?
Nothing is described by us and nothing is visible in its photographs. The boards sit close to the wall, which suggests something small on the back, but check before you drill.
What wood is the board?
Is the green a flat color?
No, it is space-dyed - the tone shifts along each strand between olive and a grayer sage, which is visible in the close photograph and is what keeps a solid block of one color from looking printed.
Which color works best on a white wall?
Cream & Green. It carries the most contrast of the three. Plain Cream on the dark board needs a wall that can hold the contrast of the board itself.
Can I hang two as a pair?
Yes, and they balance exactly - all three options share one width and one length, so two hung at the same top line match. The green and the brown together is our own pairing.
Will it suit a narrow wall?
That is its best use. At 30 cm wide it fits the tall thin walls that framed art fits badly, and 85 cm of length keeps it from looking stranded there.
Does it work above a sideboard?
Yes - a 120 to 150 cm sideboard takes it centered as a single vertical accent. Above a double bed it covers about a fifth of the width, so treat it as a marker or hang a pair.
Will the cord look flat when it arrives?
Yes, at first.
Will the color fade?
The green and the brown are dyed cord and will fade over years in direct sun. The cream is undyed and has nothing to lose. No colorfastness rating is published.
How do you clean it?
No care instructions are published. Comb and dust it; neither untreated wood nor cotton cord is something to wash.
Why is the plain Cream option heavier?
Its hem is cut straight rather than curved, so it keeps more cord length - 328 g against 300 g. That is our reading of our own two weights.
Are there other colors?
We also makes an all-green and an all-rust version on the dark board. Neither is stocked here, which is why they are not shown.
How thick is it?
The board sits close to the wall in every room shot, but no depth figure is given.
Is it suitable above a bed?
Yes. There is no glass and no frame, and at about 300 g there is very little weight above a pillow.
