A wide wall over a sofa usually gets one flat rectangle
A canvas print, a framed poster, a single tapestry - wide format, flat surface, done. It fills the space, but it does not do anything once it is up. Nothing moves, nothing catches light differently at four in the afternoon than it does at nine in the morning.
This is textile wall art built the other way: a solid wood pole cut into a shallow wave, with about twenty cotton tassels dropping from it on cords, each one strung with a few pale wooden beads before it ends in a thick brush of color. The tassels step through a gradient across the 80 cm width rather than blending, so the piece reads as bands of color first and a wave shape second. It has real depth off the wall - the cords catch a shadow, the tassels move slightly with the air in the room - which is the thing a flat print cannot give a large wall art for living room wall.

How to hang it

Picking a color
Both colorways are the same pole, the same 80 x 70 cm size, the same 1050 g, and the same four-band gradient structure - only the palette changes.
Teal green. Cream steps through pale sage into a mid green, finishing in a deep, almost black-green at the longest tassels. It is the cooler, quieter of the two, and it is the one we stage twice - once on a warm terracotta wall, once on plain cream - which suggests it reads well against most wall colors rather than needing a specific one.
Autumn red. Cream steps through camel tan and mustard yellow into a deep rust red. Warmer and higher contrast than the green, and closer to the kind of palette that works with oak, leather and terracotta than with cool grays.
