Wall Art for Over Bed, Knotted Leaf Vine Panel, Single or Pair
Estimated delivery: 3–10 days
Item details Materials, dimensions, what is in the box
The color is attached to the size. Small is tan, large is green
Three options here and they are not three sizes of one thing. The small panel is 30 x 75 cm with a tan vine. The large is 40 x 100 cm with a sage green vine. There is no small green and no large tan - if you want the green, you are buying the large one, and the third option is simply both.
Each panel is a curtain of fine cream cord hung from a dark wood batten, with a knotted leaf vine running down one side of it. The leaves are worked into the cord rather than applied on top, so the vine sits slightly proud and casts its own shadow while the cream cord behind it stays flat. That is what makes a two-tone piece out of one material.
It is wall art for over bed in the pair configuration and a narrow filler in the single. We use 100% cotton and wood, and the technique is handmade.

What you get
- One panel, or two if you take the pair. Each panel ships as "1 x tapestry"; the third option ships one of each size.
- A dark wood batten the full width of each panel, squared and stained.
- A knotted leaf vine down one side, worked into the cord rather than sewn on.
- Cream cord across the rest of the panel, hanging free to a cut hem.
- No fixings. None included.
Dimensions, by option
Each size has its own size drawing, and unusually these also publish the packed carton size - useful if you are shipping it on or storing it flat.
| Small · tan vine | 30 cm / 11.8 in wide, 75 cm / 29.5 in long, 275 g. Packs to 30 x 10 x 5.5 cm. |
|---|---|
| Large · sage green vine | 40 cm / 15.74 in wide, 100 cm / 39.37 in long, 505 g. Packs to 40 x 11 x 5.5 cm. |
| Small and large together | One of each. Hung with a 10 cm gap, the pair covers about 80 cm of width; allow about 120 cm of height for the taller one. |
| Wall needed, single | About 40 x 90 cm for the small, or 50 x 115 cm for the large |
| How the pair is staged | Battens at different heights - the small one's bar sits roughly 15 cm below the large one's, so the two hems finish at different levels. That stagger is the arrangement in all seven room photographs. |
| Tolerance | 2-5 cm tolerance |
| Depth off the wall | The vine stands proud of the cord, but no figure exists. |

How to hang it
One fixing per panel, behind the batten. At 275 g and 505 g these are light - a picture hook carries either. We don't describe a hanging fitting, so check the back on arrival.
If you are hanging the pair, do not line up the battens. Every photograph we have sets the small panel's bar about 15 cm lower than the large one's, so the two hems finish at different heights and the vines read as one continuous idea rather than as two versions of the same object. Level battens with unequal panel lengths is the arrangement that looks wrong.
Mind which side the vine is on. Both panels carry the vine down one side, and in our own staging the two vines face inward, toward each other. Hung the other way the piece reads as two unrelated panels. It costs nothing to check before you drill.
Comb the cord once. It arrives folded flat in a 5.5 cm-deep carton, so expect a crease across the middle of each panel. Run your fingers down through the cord and give it two days - cotton takes longer than synthetic to drop.

Picking an option
Small, tan vine. 30 x 75 cm and 275 g - the narrow filler. It fits the strip beside a doorway, above a nightstand or between two windows, and the tan vine is the warmer of the two, closer in tone to the cream cord so the piece reads quietly.
Large, sage green vine. 40 x 100 cm and 505 g. A meter of drop makes this a piece rather than a filler, and the green vine is the higher-contrast of the two, so it reads from across a room. Choose it if you are buying one and want it to count.
Both. The pair is the arrangement we designed - every room photograph shows the two together, staggered, vines facing inward. It is also the cheaper route: the pair costs less than the two singles bought separately, and it covers about 80 cm of wall rather than 30 or 40.

Where this actually earns its place
Above a bed, as the pair. Two staggered panels covering 80 cm read as a composition rather than as a single centered object, which suits a headboard wall where a lamp or a shelf makes true symmetry impossible. That is the above bed wall decor case for this shape.
Second, the narrow leftovers - beside a doorway, between two windows, on the return wall of a hallway. The small panel at 30 cm wide is built for exactly the strip that defeats framed art, and as narrow wall decor it needs one pin and nothing else.
Third, beside a bookcase or a shelf unit, which is how we photograph it most. A vertical cord panel next to a run of shelves softens the grid without adding another rectangle. As boho wall decor it is quiet enough to sit next to books without competing with them.
Honest limits
- Color and size are the same choice. Small is tan, large is green. There is no small green panel and no large tan one. If you want a specific color, you are also choosing a specific size.
- Our own drawing has a typo. The large panel's width is printed as "40cm/15.74cm" - the second figure is inches, not centimeters. We publish 40 cm / 15.74 in.
- "Machine washable" is our own listed care claim. This is cotton cord fixed to a stained wooden batten. We would not do it - spot clean instead.
- It arrives creased. The packed depth is 5.5 cm, so each panel is folded flat. That is published, and it is why the first day on the wall is disappointing.
- No hanging fitting is described, and no depth figure exists.
Before you buy
Can I get the green one in the small size?
No. The small panel comes with a tan vine and the large with a sage green one - color and size are a single choice here. The third option ships one of each.
How big is each panel?
Small: 30 cm / 11.8 in wide by 75 cm / 29.5 in long, 275 g. Large: 40 cm / 15.74 in wide by 100 cm / 39.37 in long, 505 g. We allow 2-5 cm of hand-measurement tolerance.
How should I hang the pair?
Staggered, not level. Set the small panel's batten about 15 cm below the large one's so the two hems finish at different heights, and turn both panels so the vines face inward toward each other. That is the arrangement in every one of our room photographs.
Is the pair cheaper than buying both singles?
It also arrives as one parcel rather than two.
Can I machine wash it?
We list both hand wash and machine washable. We would not: the cord is fixed to a stained wooden batten, and a drum will not be kind to either. Spot clean it.
Why is it creased when it arrives?
Because it ships folded flat - we publish a packed depth of 5.5 cm. Comb the cord down with your fingers and give it two days; cotton takes longer than synthetic cord to drop.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the materials, care and everyday use — no fine print.
what can i put on a large empty bedroom wall?
Color is welded to size here and nothing says so: the small piece is only available with a tan vine and the large piece only with a green one. Above a king bed the pair together spans about two thirds of the headboard; above a console the large piece alone is about half the length of the table.
what wall decor is safe above a crib?
Hang it above the reach line and out of arm's reach of a cot. 100% cotton and wood.
does macrame wall art collect dust?
Dust with a soft brush or a vacuum on its lowest setting. The large piece is roughly twice the drop of the small one - 100 cm versus 75 cm.
is macrame a good housewarming gift?
It arrives flat or rolled and needs one hook, so it is a gift that does not ask the recipient to assemble anything. There is a choice of option to make, so check what they would pick. Color is tied to size: small ships tan, large ships green, and the option names say neither.
what is the difference between macrame and a woven tapestry?
Macrame is tied by hand and a woven tapestry is made on a loom. This piece is knotted work. Straight dark stained batten. A dense curtain of straight cream cord hung from it and cut level at the hem. Color is welded to size here and nothing says so: the small piece is only available with a tan vine and the large piece only with a green one.
what should i put on a hotel style accent wall at home?
Yes. It is photographed in a hotel lounge or lobby wall. The large piece is roughly twice the drop of the small one. Above a king bed the pair together spans about two thirds of the headboard; above a console the large piece alone is about half the length of the table. Color is welded to size here and nothing says so: the small piece is only available with a tan vine and the large piece only with a green one.
cheap wall art that does not look cheap?
What is fixed is what ships: 3 options and no hardware. The choices are small (30 x 75 cm, tan vine on cream), large (40 x 100 cm, sage green vine on cream), or one of each together.
how long does shipping take for handmade wall decor?
It ships from our warehouse and the delivery estimate shown at checkout is the one to trust. Color is tied to size: small ships tan, large ships green, and the option names say neither.
what wall art is safe around cats?
Hanging cord is inviting to a cat. Hang it clear of anything a cat can climb, and expect a low fringe to be played with if it is within reach. 100% cotton, wood.
what wall art will not fade in the sun?
No light fastness rating is published. Direct sun will lift color out of any dyed cord in time, so a wall that does not take midday sun is the safer place for it. Color is tied to size: small ships tan, large ships green, and the option names say neither.
what decor makes a rented bedroom feel like a hotel?
Yes. It is photographed in a bedroom above a headboard. The large piece is roughly twice the drop of the small one. Above a king bed the pair together spans about two thirds of the headboard; above a console the large piece alone is about half the length of the table.
How many options does this come in?
3. They are: small: camel tan vine on cream; large: sage green vine on cream; small and large: the tan small piece and the green large piece together. It is photographed in a bedroom above a headboard.
Which option is the most neutral?
The cream or undyed option where there is one. The full list is: small: camel tan vine on cream; large: sage green vine on cream; small and large: the tan small piece and the green large piece together. 100% cotton and wood.
Is there anything about this product I should know first?
Color is tied to size: small ships tan, large ships green, and the option names say neither. 100% cotton, wood.
What is the wood?
A stained panel or dowel. Color is welded to size here and nothing says so: the small piece is only available with a tan vine and the large piece only with a green one.
Does it come with a hook or a nail?
No. No fixings are listed in the package contents, so plan to supply your own. A buyer choosing 'small' because of the green vine in the main photograph will receive tan.
Will it shed?
Cut cord ends shed a little at first and settle after a week or two. Vacuum the floor under it once and it stops being noticeable. Both sizes are light on the wall - 275 g for the small panel, 505 g for the large - so shedding won't add meaningfully to the hanging weight.
Will it work in a rental?
Yes, if you hang it on an adhesive hook rather than a nail. It has one hanging point, so there is only one mark to avoid making. The options are small: camel tan vine on cream; large: sage green vine on cream; small and large: the tan small piece and the green large piece together.
Is the price for one piece?
Check the option name before ordering. Where an option names a set or a pair, that is what ships; where it does not, treat it as a single piece. The large piece is roughly twice the drop of the small one.
Does it work with other art on the same wall?
It reads as texture rather than as a picture, so it sits beside framed prints without competing. Give it its own column of wall rather than a slot in a grid. It is photographed in a hotel lounge or lobby wall.
What happens if it gets damp?
Cord holds damp and dries slowly. Keep it off a bathroom wall and away from a kettle or a shower door. No moisture rating is published. It is photographed above a headboard in the room shots.
How is this different from a printed tapestry?
A printed tapestry is one flat piece of fabric with an image on it. This is built from cord and wood, so it has real depth and casts its own shadow. 100% cotton and wood.
Will it suit a small room?
Read the proportion in the lifestyle photographs rather than the word in the title. A piece that fills a headboard in a large bedroom will crowd a small one. Color is tied to size: small ships tan, large ships green, and the option names say neither.
Is the color dyed all the way through?
The cord is dyed rather than printed, so the color runs through the strand. No light fastness figure is published, so treat strong sun as a risk. 100% cotton, wood.
Is it safe over a radiator?
Keep it off a wall directly above a radiator or a heater. Color is welded to size here and nothing says so: the small piece is only available with a tan vine and the large piece only with a green one.
Can I get the green one in the small size?

How big is each panel?
Small: 30 cm / 11.8 in wide by 75 cm / 29.5 in long, 275 g. Large: 40 cm / 15.74 in wide by 100 cm / 39.37 in long, 505 g. We allow 2-5 cm of hand-measurement tolerance.
